Nathaniel had his first and potentially last taste of peanut butter yesterday. I was making PB & Jelly for lunch, when our little monkey reached his hand up and into the peanut butter jar. Two minutes later his entire head turned bright red and his eyes were blood shot. Two minutes and 20 seconds later I was on the phone with the doctors office. Nathaniel is fine! He had his one year check up today and the doctor said all looks well. I'm not sure if he actually ingested any of the peanut butter or if he reacted simply to having peanuts on his skin. Either way we are to keep all nut products away from him until he is two. Then we have been given a re-introduction plan...
In other news, our little man weighs 22 pounds and ranks just in the 50th percentile on the growth charts...He's tall and skinny! Our family doctor says everything looks great and we are hopeful that after March we will no longer need to see the GI specialist! I am ready for fewer doctors in our lives as I'm sure Nathaniel is too!
